Cristie David-Hoover, LPTA (she/her)
Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant
Cristie- (who prefers to go by Cris) was born and raised in Manassas Virginia. From a young age, she knew her love of helping others would influence the career paths she chose throughout her life. She worked in child care while her own children were small, then began working with Fairfax County‘s adaptive programming, providing physical and behavioral support for children and adults with disabilities while participating in leisure activities including aquatic and gymnastic programs.
She decided to take her desire to help people a step further and decided to pursue a career in physical therapy. She graduated with honors from the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Northern Virginia community college‘s medical campus in May 2016.
Cris came on board with Lake Ridge physical therapy in February 2022. She is a certified clinical instructor, which means she can take on physical therapist assistant students during their clinical experience so they can learn real-life on-the-job training while still in school.
Cris not only enjoys treating orthopedic conditions for patients of all ages, she also provides pediatric therapy for neuro divergent and neuro typical conditions. She specialized in conditions such as Torticollis and developmental delays.
She loves to roller skate. She has competed in quad and in-line speed skating as well as played on an all female roller derby team. She is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and has taken professional boxing/kickboxing lessons.
